Gropp Automotive Specialties has been building and selling demolition derby and figure 8 products for 16+ years. We have more than 21 years We specialize in small block chevy derby and figure 8 engines and related components. Nobody has spend more time with research and devolopment for demolition derby engines than G.A.S. NOBODY!
Our engines have powered drivers to wins at most of the classes Metal Mayhem, including two Mayhem class feature wins, and also feature wins at Spring Explosion (1st and 2nd place cars on different teams in 2011), Fall Brawl (2011 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th place), Border Wars, XDDL shows, Night of Destruction, UD Blizzard Bash, Razorback Rumble, Greeley Stampede, dozens of State Championships from across America, and countless other shows prove that nobody is even close to us in terms of winning record. Our engines have helped drivers produce hundreds and hundreds of feature wins in the past few years in the U.S. and Canada (not an empty exaggeration)! They not only win big money, but our engines have found their way to many aggressive driver awards including the Metal Mayhem Icon Instigator Award.
We don't promise you our engines will MAKE you a winner. Our engines will not be the component that keeps you from winning. Don't be fooled by folks who tell you they have derby experience and throw a bunch of fancy named stuff at you. No matter what some other derby "expert' tells you, simply ask them what their products have won for national and regional shows, and see if they can verify those supposed wins.

Will get back with you when I'm back from the Lunatic Auction. Carb wasn't bad inside, but uglier than hell outside, and a few years old, so instead of a kit it is getting a full rebuild and some updates. Will get it done and tested as soon as we can. Send me a PM with a deadline if you have a show upcoming. I might just swap it with a different, new carb, and put yours on something else, unless you have a specific linkage need from your carb.

I have called and emailed Scott numerous times. He has always taken the time to answer my questions and advise me of my options. He is very knowledgable and no doubt knows his s___!!! Thank you Scott for all your help. Can't wait to get my motor and tranny!

just wanted to say thanks Scott for taking the time to call me the other day. I called Scott and left a voice mail for him to call me back, it was about 2 days later he called back and talked to me for quite awhile, explained alot and took the time to make sure I understood what he was talking about in full detail. I don't see where some say he has an attitude or whatever. Scott was very nice, never said nothing abt other builders, and went through a few options to help me. Patience is a verture I guess, give him respectful time to return your call as he has time inbetween work and family and he will give you all your asking for + some. Just thought I would say thanks and leave some good feedback for ya.
