Wedged truck beds can someone post some pics and detail
I drive forward.. no reason to wedge the bed..
I'm with the wall. I only like driving forward...
Ditto
However I have done it. The reason was due to the bed being bad and the sides kinda flopped outward when I got the truck.
With what I've seen out of the trucks we have run granted the rear frames were pretty rough wedging was the only way to go but mostly depends on the build if you can plate and box the frame wedging prolly wouldn't matter
i have ran both ways and i think a half wedge works best. i ran chevys and ya have to back up.

Half wedge??? got any pics?
cant get the pic to post but i flipped the tailgate and dropped it 8 inches and welded it solid then folded the box sides over the top of the tailgate and welded it solid. doing it like this stops the box sides from bowing out.

aftermath with a wedged box. this is what 70s mopars do to chevys.
why you dont drive forward in a chevy

did you just weld the tailgate to the sides of the bed once you flipped it and dropped it? and also is doing that half wedege stronger putting the tail gate down, rolling in the bed sides and all threading the whole thing together through the frame with washers between each piece?
i had c chanell going from frame rail to frame rail. i welded ever possible place i could on the tail gate and bolted it to the c channel. it held up great. even having 6 trucks coming for just me. the back was still straight afterwards. dont have any after pics though. i ran against some tough fords and mopars too.
oh alright i dont think were allowed to put anything from frame rail to frame rail but heck i may try it thats why we take torches to the demo right? lol
right. they allow us to use c channel instead of a back bumper thats why i did it that way.
