My rules allow you to load your bumpers. My thoughts on this is that I'm going to use a 1x4 piece of steel as backing plate inside of a crown vic bumper and I am going to weld spears on to that thick plate. They will stab through the skin after awhile and I think they would be good to take out tires and other things on cars. Is this a good idea on how to build a homemade bumber?

id just layer as much steel in there as possible and weld weld weld. it will be hard

this is how i did mine. i used 2 inch oil field pipe. i had 9 pieces placed in a square standing in the nose cut to contour the point. then 3 pieces per side laying down following the skin. then 3 last pieces over the top of everything. its all welded up nice an tight.
