running a sbc want to know if a holly or edelbrock car for my derby car the motor has a mild cam and a little head work 400 turbo tranny and 488 gears out back need a little help
thanks travis
Go with the Holly or a Rochester
Edelbrocks with off road needle and seats have surprised me a pretty good carb.
if you enjoy tuning your carb constantly, changing jets and stalling when hit, go with the holley!
if you want to bolt it on , turn 2 screws and go, use the edelbrock!
the off road kit does make a big difference in our application also!
definately go with edelbrock, or a 2brl rochester had one of those before too, IMO i choose the 2brl rochester
Edelbrock fan here
edelbrock all the way over holley
Run the Brock! Hollys are ok but save a few bucks with the Brock and get the offroad upgrade ran one on a tough truck once and had no stall issues and I aired that thing out like it was a dirt bike
We've always had good luck with edelbrocks, even without the off-road kit.
